Abstract
The results are given of an investigation of electron beam welding, co ncerning the correlation between the process parameters such as weld d epth, focusing parameter and thermal efficiency. Weld quality data for various welding velocities, beam powers and positions of the focusing plane relative to the sample surface are given. The goal was to achie ve practical and reliable optimum process parameters and to estimate t he efficiency of the electron beam welding. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
