Abstract
The authors describe in cattle and for the first time in Belgium a cas e of infestation with Paramphistomum sp, A post mortem examination on an adult copw originating from the Province of Liege revealed the pres ence in the rumen and reticulum of numerous adult worms together with lesions of haemorragic jejunitis probably induced by the migrating juv eniles. After a short description of the biology of the paramphistomes , the prophylaxis and chemotherapy of this infestation are decribed.
