Electrical resistivity rho(T) of the rare-earth hexaboride DyB6, which
shows an antiferromagnetism below 25 K (= T-N) and an another phase t
ransition at 30 K (= T), has been measured under high pressure up to
2.2 GPa and in high magnetic fields to 5 T. It is found that T-N incre
ases with increasing pressure with the rate dT(N)/dP = 2.6 K/GPa. A sm
all anomaly in rho(T) near T disappears by applying pressure. The met
amagnetic transition field H-M (=4.13 T at 4.2 K) increases with press
ure. These facts indicate that the antiferromagnetic interaction of 4f
spin in DyB6 is enhanced by pressure.
