PREPARATION OF A SYSTEM FOR MONITORING STATIONARY FLOW OF SELECTED COMPOUNDS FROM THE PRODUCTION SITES AND OPERATIONAL PREMISES INTO THE ENVIRONMENT

The review article explains the aims and methods of a system for monit oring and evaluating permanent sources of selected chemical substances entering the environment. The system internationally denoted as PRTR is oriented towards stationary (point-like and immovable) sources. In a number of countries the system represents an active element of manag ement of chemical substances and simultaneouly a tool for fulfilling t he rights of the citizen on information about the environmental situat ion.
