Intercalation of Li and Na into oxygen-deficient YBa2Cu3O6.51 samples
has been studied. Magnetization measurements of the intercalated sampl
es were carried out as a function of temperature and magnetic field. T
he analysis of experimental results indicate the existence of the macr
oscopic phase separation into a nonmetallic phase with high Li (Na) co
ncentration and a metallic phase with low Li (Na) concentration.
