Abstract
The synthesis of bromodicalbonylbis[bis(diphenylphosphino) methane -ka ppa(2)P] molybdenum (II) hexafluorophosphate complex (C52N44 BrF6MoO2P 5. 2CH(2)Cl(2)) is described. The complex has been characterized by IR and P-31{H-1}-NMR spectroscopy. The structure has been determined by X-ray diffraction methods. It crystallizes in the monoclinic space gro up C2/c, Z = 8, a = 42.71(1) Angstrom, b = 11.47(1) Angstrom, c = 26.7 2(1) Angstrom, and beta = 118.58(1)degrees 9. The structure determinat ion shows a capped octahedron geometry around the molybdenum atom.
