METHOD FOR THE ELIMINATION OF CHROMATOGRAPHIC BIAS FROM MEASURED CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORETIC EFFECTIVE MOBILITY VALUES

A method based on a modified version of pressure-mediated capillary el ectrophoresis (PreMCE) has been developed for the elimination of the c hromatographic bias inherent in effective electrophoretic mobilities m easured by capillary electrophoresis. This new five-band PreMCE method can be readily executed on most commercial capillary electrophoresis instruments. It yields not only precise but also accurate effective mo bilities and electroosmotic now rates, even when the analytes and elec troosmotic flow markers are strongly retained on the coated fused-sili ca capillary wall.
