Abstract
The electronic properties of monoclinic V5S8 in its paramagnetic, ferr omagnetic and antiferromagnetic states have been studied by means of t he linear muffin-tin orbital method of band-structure calculation. On the basis of the corresponding results, the magnetic properties of V5S 8 are discussed in comparison with experimental data stemming from neu tron scattering and nuclear magnetic resonance.
