Abstract
Nocardamine, a kind of siderophore, was isolated as an inducer of morp hological changes in the insect cells, BM-N4. It changed the morpholog y of the cells from round to an unusual spindle shape. This activity o f nocardamine was inhibited by adding the ferric ion.
