Abstract
In this paper an application of the Chebyshev's criterion to the optim al design of the damped dynamic vibration absorber is presented. The r esults are summarized in ready-to-use computational graphs. The reliab ility of the proposed method is demonstrated through a comparison of t he numerical results obtained by different authors.
