SYNTHESIS AND MOLECULAR-STRUCTURE OF (R,R S,S)-[PDCL2(1,2-(PPHCL)(2)C2B10H10)]/

The complex (R,R/S,S)-[PdCl2{1,2-(PPhCl)(2)C2B10H10}] (1) was prepared by the reaction of (R,R/S,S)-1,2-(PPhCl)(2)C2B10H10 with [(COD)PdCl2] (COD = cyclooctadiene) in CH2Cl2 solution and characterized by NMR sp ectroscopy (P-31, B-11, H-1) and X-ray structure determination (space group P-). Due to the crystallographic center of inversion, both enant iomeric isomers (R,R) and (S,S) are present in the unit cell.
