Abstract
The data on carbenium ions containing triple carbon-carbon bonds attac hed to the carbenium centre directly or through a carbon chain are gen eralised and surveyed systematically. The ammonium, diazonium, iminium , phosphonium, and iodonium cations are also discussed as the heteroan alogues of alkynylcarbenium ions.
