Abstract
The suppression of second harmonic distortion in directly modulated se miconductor distributed feedback lasers by optical injection locking h as been experimentally demonstrated. Reduction of second harmonic dist ortion by more than 10dB has been observed over a wide range of bias c urrents and modulation frequencies.
