PROCESSING PROMOTERS - INFLUENCE AND EFFECTS

The wide application of processing promoters within the rubber industr y are described. It is demonstrated that there is an essential need fo r processing promoters e.g. in the mastication/mixing process, as they lower the viscosity of the batch, thus reducing the mixing energy/ ti me. In addition, they guarantee a better filler dispersion/incorporati on and better viscoelastic properties. Their widespread application go es even further, as they can be seen as lubricating/homogenising agent s, too, in order to increase the extrusion and injection molding perfo rmance.
