Abstract
We have performed field work and petrographic and geochemical studies on rocks from the area around Shakiso, Ethiopia, where the existence o f an impact crater, based on the asserted presence of shatter cones an d breccias, was previously suggested. We did not find any evidence tha t would support this claim.
