Abstract
This paper deals with the development of a location database compatibl e for use with the proposed Radio Data System - Traffic Messaging Chan nel for Great Britain. It looks at the needs for such a database and t he technical difficulties that have been overcome in developing a cost -effective, automatic, production system that provides the most detail ed roads location database in Great Britain.
