FIELD-THEORETICAL METHODS IN THE NUCLEAR MANY-BODY PROBLEM

The talk is devoted to the discussion of the analogies existing betwee n various approximations currently used in nuclear many body problems and methods of the field theory. Particularly, methods based on the sp ontaneous symmetry breaking, the screening of fields and the average o n dual fields will be reviewed with reference to nuclear structure mod els and approximations.
