Abstract
The reactivity of zerovalent nickel-2,2'-bipyridine complexes towards carbon monoxide and organic halides was investigated by electroanalyti cal methods. The kinetic data obtained allow us to propose two pathway s leading to the formation of an acylnickel complex by electroreductio n of Nibpy(2+) in the presence of both CO and a halocarbon.
