Rn. Bera et B. Mallik, TEMPERATURE-DEPENDENT UNUSUAL CHANGES IN THE FACTOR(GAMMA) REPRESENTING PHOTOCURRENT-LIGHT INTENSITY CHARACTERISTICS FOR SOME FERROCENE DERIVATIVES, Solid state communications, 108(9), 1998, pp. 695-700
The photoconductivity of some ferrocene derivatives has been studied a
s a function of the intensity (I-B) Of exciting light source (mercury
lamp; 125 W) at different values of fixed sample cell temperature in t
he range similar to 284-317 K. The photoconductivity behavior of these
materials has indicated the temperature range-dependent photoeffects.
Temperature-dependent fluctuations in gamma values (in the usual rela
tion for the dependence of photocurrent (I-ph) on I-B i.e. I-ph propor
tional to I-B(gamma) where the exponent gamma is the characteristic of
the photoconducting system) have been observed. An unusual temperatur
e-dependence of photocurrent (Iph) has also been observed. The results
have been compared with the results of ferrocence. Discussion regardi
ng the possible origin of the observations has been presented. (C) 199
