Abstract
An improved algorithm is proposed for more accurately estimating proce ss emissions from chemical batch hearing operations, Results using the derived algorithm ave compared to those obtained from the current 199 4 EPA standard calculations [1] and from the newly proposed NESHAP sta ndards [4]. The new approach is shown to result in lower emission esti mations from process vents for volatile components, especially when th e final temperature is near the boiling point temperature of the liqui d in the vessel.
