Abstract
Studied is the integrable structure of the classical lattice W-N algeb ra, which formulates the Hamiltonian structure of the N-reduced lattic e gp hierarchy. We show that the monodromy matrix satisfies the Poisso n algebra with the Z(N) invariant classical r-matrix. (C) 1998 Elsevie r Science Ltd. All rights reserved.
