BIOLOGIC APPROACHES TO TREATMENT-REFRACTORY OBSESSIVE-COMPULSIVE DISORDER

Despite advances in the pharmacotherapy and behavior therapy of obsess ive-compulsive disorder, a number of patients experience little or no significant improvement. This article focuses on medical approaches to the patient with obsessive-compulsive disorder who is either a nonres ponder or a partial responder to treatment with serotonin reuptake inh ibitors.
