EVALUATION OF WATER BIOTOPES IN THE URBAN AREA OF TOWN NITRA AND IN ITS NEAR-TOWN AGRICULTURAL LANDSCAPE

For the evaluation of water biotopes has been used an index of the lan dscape-ecological significance (LES) modificated in consideration of a mphibian's occurrence and the total index of the significance (TIS) (K miniak, 1993). According to calculated values LES, which have fluctuat ed in the range 0.16 - 2.64, biotopes has been divided into 4 signific ance groups. The highest value LES has been reached by the biotope - M alanta pond in the landscape environment and water surface in Lukov dv or in the scope of town. The lowest value has been reached by the biot ope -excavation pit - Diely in the scope of town. Values of the gross index of the significance have reached values from 4 - 29 and biotopes have been divided into 5 categories. The highest value TIS has been r eached by the Malanta biotope (k.u.-Lukov dvor), the lowest by Klokoci na, Chrenova.
