Abstract
Enzymatic hydrolysis of starch has traditionally been performed in lar ge volume batch reactors using soluble enzyme during long time. Introd uction of the membrane bioreactor brings possibility of continuous ope ration in lower volume reactors in shorter reaction time. Studies on t he simultaneous enzyme action of glucoamylase and pullulanase on lique fied potato starch in a continuous membrane reactor were made with the application of the various cut-off and transmembrane pressure of memb ranes. Influence or different reaction conditions namely enzyme concen tration, substrate: enzyme ratio and residence time on glucose content were measured. Membrane reactor with 3,000 Da produced almost pure gl ucose at resilience time of 3-4 h.
