A logical analysis computerized adaptive test based on automatic item
generation. The initial efforts to transform a paper and pencil test i
nto a computerized test based on automatic item generation are describ
ed in this paper. It has three main sections: Section one describes a
psychometric model and its use to predict item difficulties. Section t
wo describes a mechanism to generate new items with a given difficulty
. Finally, section three compares the two tests (the based on automati
c item generation and the paper and pencil test) with regard to abilit
y estimation precision.
