Neodymium praseodymium oxalate decahydrate crystals were grown using s
ilica gel technique by the controlled reaction of rare earth nitrates
with oxalic acid. The grown crystal were characterized using X-ray pow
der diffraction and thermogravimetric analysis. The thermal decomposit
ion process of the crystals is in good agreement with the proposed cry
stal structure.
