Abstract
The affinities of a puzzling microfossil, Ningbingellina veeversi n. g en., n. sp., originally reported from the Late Devonian Ningbing Limes tone, in the Bonapart Gulf Basin, Western Australia are discussed. Lin ks with the thallus of uncalcified dasycladale Aciculelleae, with udot eaceans, and with calcispheres are explored, and an affinity with calc ified dasycladale sporangium is tentatively proposed.
