Abstract
Antileukotriene agents may be reasonable and safe alternatives or adju ncts to inhaled steroid therapy in chronic asthma, as they act at site s further down in the inflammatory cascade. This article reviews the c linical experience with three antileukotriene agents and discusses the ir role in the management of asthma.
