Abstract
The height profiles of the intensity of annual and semiannual waves an d the annual mean zonal wind in the upper mesosphere-lower thermospher e region (80-110 km) are studied. The analysis of results is based on the radar meteor observations carried out at the Kazan State Universit y (56 degrees N, 49 degrees E) in the period 1986-1995. The height dep endence of the manifestation of solar control in the behavior of annua l, semiannual, and annual mean values of the prevailing zonal wind is established within an 11-year solar cycle.
