Abstract
Self-sustained rate oscillations during isothermal CO oxidation over a 3.14 wt.% Pt/SiO2 catalyst are reported at a total pressure of 2.1 mb ar. Oscillations prevail over a very wide range of CO/O-2 ratios and c an be explained with external mass transfer limitations.
