A comprehensive aeroelastic analysis that can predict the performance,
vibratory loads and aeroelastic stability of composite-coupled advanc
ed geometry tiltrotors that include gimballed hub, elastic wing and el
astic fuselage motion is presented, Helicopter, conversion and airplan
e modes of operation are modeled. Predictions from this analysis for t
rim controls, response, loads and aeroelastic stability correlate as w
ell with test data as do predictions from other established analyses.
