Abstract
The synthesis of CIT-3, a calcium aluminosilicate zeolite of compositi on CaO:Al2O3:7-7.2SiO(2):6H(2)O possessing the HEU topology is accompl ished by hydrothermal transformation of a specifically prepared zeolit e P1 using calcium-containing solutions and HEU seeds. In the absence of seeds, a synthetic epistilbite phase is obtained. Details of the sy nthetic methodology necessary for the preparation of CIT-3 an enumerat ed.
