The development of health-monitoring-systems is of great importance fo
r the use of the total power spectrum of fibre reinforced materials. T
his paper describes a new technique for detection and analysing of imp
acts based on the use of piezoelectric transducers. The method rends p
ossible the detection and classification of impacts as well as the qua
ntitative evaluation and localization of damages. It uses the results
of the research of acoustic emission combined with the evaluation of c
