Short and long-term changes in lifestyle of 61 participants on a five-
day stress management programme were assessed. A pre- and post-program
me lifestyle questionnaire was developed to investigate changes in are
as covered by the programme: nutrition, fitness, health beliefs and be
haviour, relationships, work, and coping resources. Participants were
requested to complete questionnaires before the programme, three weeks
, and six months after the programme. Three weeks after the programme,
significant changes in the self-reported lifestyle measures of nutrit
ion, health beliefs and behaviour, and fitness were found (n = 42). Fr
om the pre-test to the six-month follow-up, significant changes in nut
rition, health beliefs and behaviour, and relationships were found (n
= 33).
