Abstract
The phase diagram of MBBA confined in porous solids was studied by X-r ay diffraction and DSC. The analysis of the experimental results revea led that the polymorphism and the transformation temperatures are modi fied by the confinement in controlled-pore glasses (CPG). The smaller the pore diameter, the more significant the effect is. The shift of th e transformation temperatures is quasi linear with (1/d), where d is t he pore diameter.
