Abstract
Ligands for L-selectin are expressed not only on vascular endothelial cells but also in the extravascular tissues. In this article, we summa rize the current understanding of the ''vascular'' ligands for L-selec tin. We also describe identification of ''non-vascular'' ligands for L -selectin and discuss their possible biological significance.
