Abstract
A concept for an integrated optical Mach-Zehnder interferometer isolat or for TE modes is presented. Vertically magnetised magneto-optic rib waveguides with a compensation wall serve as nonreciprocal phase shift ers For the fundamental TE mode. The nonreciprocal phase shifts in bot h interferometer arms add as the jumps of the Faraday rotation at the compensation walls have opposite sign.
