We report the frequency stabilization of two DBR continuous laser diod
es using the two polarization-independent transfer functions of a bire
fringent optical fiber ring interferometer. The generation of a freque
ncy-stabilized multi-gigahertz microwave carrier is achieved, without
any local oscillator. We experimentally demonstrate the interest of us
ing a single birefringent fiber interferometer for the frequency noise
reduction of a laser and the frequency difference stabilization betwe
