Abstract
An efficient process utilizing a modified Curtius rearrangement was de veloped for the synthesis of carbamate substrates 1a-c and 2. The pote ntial of these compounds as prodrug structures 3 for antibody-directed abzyme prodrug therapy (ADAPT) has been chemically evaluated.
