Abstract
Thin-Layer chromatography application for the separation and identific ation of bisoprolol, tabetalol and propafenone as their dabsyl derivat ives is described. These compounds were converted to the chromophoric dabsyl derivatives and chromatographed on silica gel and aluminium oxi de plates by ascending development, using various solvent systems. The detection limits of dabsyl derivatives on aluminium oxide plates were 2.5x10(-11), 2.5x10(-10) and 1x10(-9) mol/spot for labetalol, propafe none and bisoprolol, respectively.
