Abstract
We describe the case of a 19-year-old girl with a left superior vena c ava and a surgically corrected complete atrioventricular canal defect. After an in-hospital sudden death an automatic defibrillator-cardiove rter was implanted through her left superior venit cava. During the po stoperative course, multiple inappropiate discharges caused by myopote ntial oversensing indicated the relocation of the electrode and, final ly, insertion of two epicardial leads by a left submammarian thoracoto my approach, produced an optimal result.
