Abstract
This Essay is a speculation on the future impact on civil procedure of the invention of the computer chip. When that technology is fully dep loyed, almost nothing we now know about civil procedure will be true. The Man in the White Suit is not a textile engineer,(1) but a judicial law reformer who threatens to disemploy much of his profession.
