Abstract
Radioactive deposits on inner surfaces of pipelines of Mikhailovo oil field (Samara oblast) were studied. It was found that the overall radi oactivity is mainly due to Ra-226, Ra-228, and Th-228. The main carrie r of radium is barite. Leaching of radium from these sediments under t he effect of atmospheric precipitation is improbable.
