Abstract
The mGluR-mediated EPSP at parallel fibre-Purkinje cell synapses in th e cerebellum was blacked concentration-dependently and reversibly by a ntagonists acting selectively on group-I mGluRs but not by an inhibito r of group-III receptors. The results provide pharmacological evidence that the receptor type responsible for the mGluR-EPSP is mGluR1. (C) 1997 Elsevier Science Ltd.
