Abstract
The mean lifetime of vapor-plasma bubbles for a microdischarge at an a luminum valve anode in sodium carbonate and sodium tetraborate solutio ns was determined by a photographic technique. The mean lifetime was s hown to depend on current, electrolyte type, and electrolyte concentra tion. The mean lifetime is 230 mu s in 0.03 mol/dm(3) Na2CO3 at I = 90 mA.
