Abstract
We evaluate thermal and chemical pollution in terms of wasted exergies entering the environment. Calculations for nepheline processing are c arried out as an example. Advantages of using complex raw-material pro cessing and multi-product outputs are illustrated on the basis of ener gy-efficiency improvements and reduction of environmental impact.
