It has been found that fine dispersion of Nd rich Nd1+xBa2-xCu3Oy clus
ters takes place in the NdBa2Cu3Oy matrix when Nd-Ba-Cu-O superconduct
ors are melt processed in a reduced oxygen atmosphere, which leads to
a dramatic increase of Aux pinning. The amount of Nd-Ba substitution d
epends on the growth conditions, and therefore it will be possible to
control flux pinning through the control of processing conditions. In
the present work, We report the modified melt-growth technique which o
ffer the possibility of controlling the flux pinning and thus J(c)-B p
