Yv. Troitskii, CORRECTION FOR FREQUENCY DISPERSION IN A MICHELSON INTERFEROMETER FORA SMALL DIFFERENCE OF ARM LENGTHS, Optics and spectroscopy, 85(4), 1998, pp. 631-635
Attention is drawn to the necessity of correction for frequency disper
sion in a Michelson interferometer intended for recording extremely sm
all displacements in the case where the operating point does not coinc
ide with the center of a bright fringe. It is proposed to use for corr
ection either insertions of a dispersion dielectric, or mirrors with a
noticeable dispersion of reflection phase, or a special Fabry-Perot i
nterferometer. As a result, a Michelson interferometer in the first ap
proximation becomes insensitive to the spectral width of a radiation s
ource, The case of a dispersion mirror is considered in most detail.
