Abstract
Total and external surface area for different samples of active carbon s are determined by immersion microcalorimetry at 25,00 +/- 0,01 degre es C utilizing CCl4 as solvent; the data obtained shows the applicabil ity of the Stoeckli-Kraehenbuehl equation for highly microporous carbo ns, and also it shows the functionability of the Stoeckli-Bansal-Donne t equation for active carbons without implying that they are essential ly microporous.
