Abstract
This is a study of the matrix groups discovered by V. M. Sidel'nikov,
which are close to the symplectic and the orthogonal groups. Results a
re obtained about the structure of the Sidel'nikov groups. They can be
useful for constructing certain orbit codes and lattices.
